It all started with stone picking in the field

Christian Yström works as a product manager at Vreten and has a strong focus on the international market. He works every day to provide our dealers with good conditions and provides assistance whenever needed. He describes it himself as being a support in the background. Christian also works with the relationships with our dealers and focuses on a long-term approach and building security for both parties. This is something that always permeates Vretens' business thinking.

The love of the forest

In his spare time, Christian likes to spend a lot of time in the woods, something that is close to his heart. He describes it as time for himself in his solitude, and that it gives him a combination of energy and peace. During the winter, he can see the fox's tracks in the snow and follow him a bit. The forest is powerful and you feel all the seasons. You see that your surroundings are growing and that nature is full of life. He goes on to explain that the forest is part of our origin - we have always sought it out.

First contact with Vreten

Christian has worked at Vreten for over 10 years, but his relationship with Vreten products goes back much further than that. Even as a young boy, his family used Vreten products on the farm he grew up on just outside Hjo. He remembers back to one of his first jobs as a little boy, picking stones in the field. Even then he used a stone grab from Vreten. A few years later it was time to plow snow, and he used a spike plow from Vreten. He explains that he believes there are many people who share memories of using Vreten products in agriculture, often for several generations.

Therefore, it was a matter of course for Christian to take the opportunity to start working at Vreten and contribute to the development of forestry. Christian goes on to say that quality is important to him, especially that it is the right quality. Vreten offers products with a long shelf life and which are intended to last a whole working life, and then hopefully be handed over to the next generation and tomorrow's farmers and foresters.

Vretens' main focus is to offer forestry users functional products of high quality and with long durability. The products are hard-wearing, durable and, above all, insanely strong. The start of a new journey

In 2018, Vreten was acquired by Bala Agri and a bright change lies ahead. Vreten has gained better conditions through the merger. This means that production has been moved to a more modern facility with greater opportunities. The aim is to develop and manufacture even better products. In addition, we have more capacity and can increase volumes. It is time for us to showcase an updated Vreten as a traditional company with completely new conditions.

What can I expect from Vreten as a customer?

- You can expect Vreten products to be a working partner, preferably for several generations. It should be clear from our products that we have focused on use over price. Our goal is to consistently deliver good products that add functional value to the user. We do not remove parts with benefits that make a difference to save on costs. Vreten's design is carefully thought out and always has the customer's use in focus. We want to make a difference, and Vreten's products are for those who are looking for quality in their work in the forest," says Christian.

Is there any product in the Vreten range that you particularly like?

- For me, the 1000 trailer is a big favorite. It is a great Trailer with a reasonable size and is suitable for many different types of forestry work. It also has a powerful crane and rotating housing. What you take in the grapple you lift. This makes the trailer efficient and helps you save time.
