New development of Vretens forest wagons

Novelty

Increased load capacity, smarter design and better accessibility

Vreten continues to develop its forestry trailers to meet the demands of today's forest owners. With several updates to both Vreten 900 and Vreten 1000, as well as new features on Vreten 550 and crane models, the bar is raised further for efficiency, durability and ease of use.

Increased loading area and greater efficiency in each run

Both Vreten 900 and Vreten 1000 have had a major update to the loading area. On the Vreten 900, the area has been increased from 2.0 to 2.5 square meters, while Vreten 1000 has gone from 2.3 to 2.7 square meters.

This means you can take bigger loads on each trip, increasing efficiency in the forest and reducing the number of trips. The wagons are built to withstand the heavier loads without compromising on strength or stability.

- "We build heavy-duty Trailers that can handle larger loads and thus increase efficiency significantly. At the same time, the forest is spared, because you don't have to drive back and forth as many times to get the timber out," says Christian Yström, Export Sales Manager at Vreten.

Despite being a 9-ton Trailer , Vreten 900 has a larger gate area than several competitors' 12-ton models. This is a clear indication of how much attention has been paid to design and practical capacity.

New forwarder bank kit for Vreten 900

Another innovation is a newly developed forwarder bank kit for Vreten 900. The kit replaces the traditional log banks and gives the wagon a more modern design, while giving the user greater flexibility when sorting timber.

The forwarder banks also create space for improved bogie oscillation, which contributes to better accessibility in difficult terrain. The result is a more versatile Trailer that can be adapted to different types of work and conditions in the forest.

New hose routing on cranes

On crane models 60 30, 68 25, 65 40, 77 30 and 8 10, Vreten has redesigned the hose routing to the extension. The new solution reduces the risk of damaging the hoses during work, especially in first thinning where the space between the trees is often limited.

- When thinning for the first time, it is often very tight between the trees. The new hose routing reduces the risk of the hoses being pinched or damaged during the work," explains Christian.

Optional swivel drawbar on Vreten 550

Vreten 550 is built as standard without a swivel hitch. However, this is now offered as an option, which provides significantly better accessibility in dense terrain.

The pivoting drawbar makes it easier to maneuver the trailer without the risk of damaging growing trees or getting stuck in narrow passages.

- Without a pivoting hitch, it is often difficult to get around in denser forest. With this option, driving becomes much smoother and the risk of driving damage is reduced," concludes Christian.

With the latest updates, we continue our clear commitment to practical improvement, sustainability and ease of use. Whether it's greater load capacity, improved crane design or better maneuverability, the goal is the same - to make forestry work more efficient, safer and more sustainable for the user.
