Streamline work in the forest with waist locks

Press release

Vreten combines the company's 100 years of experience with a strong drive to challenge the traditional. With a focus on making life easier for forest owners, we are constantly developing new solutions that optimize work processes and increase productivity. By listening to the wishes of foresters and using the company's knowledge, we are now proud to launch waist locks as an option for our forestry trailers.

Replaces the need for outriggers

Waist locks replace the need for outriggers on the trailer and make forestry travel smoother and faster. Removing the outriggers reduces the weight of the trailer and improves visibility. It also provides better ground clearance and you eliminate the risk of the outriggers being left in the ground as you continue forward in the forest.

Waist locks are perfect for those who drive in thinning and work with trees scattered in the forest that require many starts and stops. You save both time and hassle and avoid having to manually adjust the support legs before each loading.

Save important working time

The chopper trailer, which is coupled to the tractor's hitch, provides the operator with better maneuverability when the trailer linkage is extended behind the tractor, compared to traditional hitch-mounted trailers. The trailer's center lock acts as a more powerful brake disc with a powerful caliper. All you need to do is simply press a button to lock the trailer in a steady position. The sliding under heavy load/high torque is also very controlled, preventing the trolley from tipping over.

Vreten has combined the advantages of Y-haul and the agility of conventional Trailers with outriggers. You move the rear of the trailer for better maneuverability while it is smooth and easy to attach the trailer to the tractor without the use of tools.

Impressive compliance and user experience

Reversing is noticeably easier and the trailer responds faster to steering wheel movements. The trailer also tracks very well behind the tractor thanks to the pivot point being further back. If you pass with the tractor, you will pass with the forestry trailer. This gives you smoother access to the forest and minimizes the risk of driving into trees and damaging your forest.
